Call To Order:

The Meeting of the Southwest Lincoln County Water
District was called to order at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 10, 2008,
by Chairman Donald Tucker.

Present:
|
The Board members present were Donald Tucker,
Robert Whitson, Jon Culton and Gary Hodges. Also present were Pete
Gintner, Carla Young and James Barton.
Board Member Daniel Anderson has moved out of the District and has
resigned his position.

|
Conflict
of Interest:
|
Donald Tucker asked if there were any
"Conflicts of Interest". None were stated.
|
|
Minutes:
|
The minutes of the August 13, 2008, regular board
meeting were reviewed. Robert Whitson made a motion to approve the
minutes as presented; Gary Hodges seconded the motion and the minutes were
approved.

Bills:
|
The Board discussed the bills for August
2008. Jon Culton made a motion to approve the bills for payment;
Robert Whitson seconded the motion and the bills were approved for
payment.

|
Treasury
Report:
|
The Treasury Report as of July 31, 2008, was as
follows: the balance of the
investments 7/31/08 of $762,735.03 was comprised of—General Fund,
$79,760.76; Construction Fund, $92,358.30; Equipment Fund, $26,065.78 Water Works Fund, $376,800.18, Revenue Bond
Fund, $183,111.34 and SDWRF Reserve Fund, $4,638.67. With the addition of interest for August of $327.88
and a transfer from checking of $20,000.00, the balance in investment
accounts is $783,062.91 as of August 31, 2008.

Generators
for Plants:
|
Carla Young updated the Board on the status of
funding for this project. James
Barton will contact the Health Department for the next step of completing
the Environmental Impact portion of the process.

|
U.S.
Forest Service Land Inquiries:
|
Gary Hodges has set up a meeting on the ground
with Forest Service officials to discuss our needs for extending our
Forest Service permit to enable construction of a new building. Carla Young and any interested Board members will also
attend at 10 a.m. on September 12, 2008.

|
Salary
Adjustments:
|
Carla Young provided new data on current
salaries. Mrs. Young will do
a new salary survey early next year to provide information for the budget
year 2009-10.
|
|
Vehicle
& Handheld Radio Purchase:
|
Donald Tucker informed the Board of two radios
that are available. Robert
Whitson made a motion to purchase the two radios, with accessories, for
$100 plus one more if it becomes available; Jon Culton seconded the motion
and the purchase was approved unanimously.

Safety
Committee:
|
The Board reviewed the Safety Committee meeting
minutes for September.
|
|
Adjournment:
|
Jon Culton made a motion to adjourn the meeting;
Gary Hodges seconded the motion and the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
